TitlePhotographs of artwork: 'A brother's journey along the Silk Road' by Betty Veronese
Description"My work focuses on two Radcliffe brothers, Ralph and Edward - partners in the Levant Trade in the early 18th century in London, Amsterdam and Aleppo (Ottoman Empire) for goods brought along the Silk Route from China.

"I decided to create a map in the shape of three kakemonos (Japanese tapestry format) made of calico and silk to evoke the journey. Inspired by the imagery of the time in each of these places, I've used natural dye colours, inks, transferred hand-drawings and embroideries to make the map tell a story."
